During our trip through Jordan touring the country, we have stayed for 2 nights in The Old Village Hotel & Resort in Wadi Musa. It was our base to visit Petra and then go to the desert of Wadi rum.
If you plan to travel by Jordan Do not miss our posts these days to know what to do. The information will help you take advantage of your stay in the country and know what to do in Petra, Wadi Rum, Amman, Madaba, Jerash and much more.
On this occasion we have made the reservation by civitatis, because we booked a circuit with hotels included. You can book it on booking with all its benefits.
Next, we will highlight the important points of the accommodations we reserve:
Points to rate of accommodation The Old Village Hotel & Resort in Wadi Musa:
Situation: 7, located in a quiet area without noise. You can't walk to Petra, but it takes about 15 minutes by car. Walking a little you will find shops. But it is not an accommodation to move outside.
Noise: 10, there was no noise from other rooms.
Bed comfort: 7, the beds were large, but not very comfortable. The extra bed had to be carefully, because if you sat under the bed you could fly away. To be a 5 star resort they would have to put a decent bed.
Cleaning: 8, the room was clean and the bathroom too. But ants sneaked into the room.
Wifi: 7, the wifi is quite stable, less at night that it cuts a lot.
Price: 6, the hotel is very nice and with many services, but considering the extra bed and other things that I will discuss below it is very expensive.
In conclusion, I recommend The Old Village Hotel & Resort accommodation in Wadi Musa, although I do not like this type of accommodation, because they lose in the deal with the guest and the price is not consistent with the good service they could give. The reception staff is dry and nothing proactive. When you arrive on the first day they give you a welcome juice.

We complained that ants entered the room and told us they were changing rooms. The hotel proposed to give us a room nearby and also with the same problem. The manager made us quickly pick up our things and then without explanation we did not change rooms for that problem. Because he said they didn't enter if the door was closed. When they opened the door they entered. They sprayed and it is true that they killed the ants, but the smell entered the room.
The buffet has varied and good food. Highlight the abusive price of a large bottle of water 3 JD (€ 3.60).
Given that the room was triple, we only had two bathrobes. It should be noted that the resort has a small spa with jacuzzi with burning water impossible to get into. There is a swimming pool on the outdoor terrace, but it is not for children as it covers and has surveillance. In addition, they have another pool that children can go to.
The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and air-conditioned rooms. All rooms have a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. It has a fridge in the room.
I hope my opinion will help you to find accommodation in the city of Wadi Musa. You can see more photos of the hotel in the following Facebook link. We emphasize that it is a 5-star hotel with many things to improve such as attention, jacuzzi and the theme of ants.
Have a nice trip and don't forget to read my recommendations on what to see in Jordan!
